The XJ900S Diversion replaced the XJ900F in 1994 as a budget-friendly naked-style tourer with a half fairing, still air-cooled and shaft-driven. It gained 41 mm forks, a Monocross rear shock and 17-inch wheels with 320 mm twin discs. Strong low-down, relaxed rather than exciting, and sold mainly in Europe and other markets outside the US.
